I am so sick of this gd****mn thing opening when Im trying to open my weather app!!! I switched FOX 4 Weather app. Much more accurate anyway - thanks!

As I try to listen to the news it overlaps with the ads. Very annoying. Fix it or get rid of the app.

For over 2 months your app has been broken. Fix it, Im tired of browsing to a page and finding myself listening to three videos at the same time. How can we solve the problem? Delete the app. Other news stations work just fine.

I like the app, but you really need to fix the annoying reminder to download your regular news app. I have downloaded that app, but you I have to tap in the "Later" button every time I open the Weather app. Please fix this!

Folks-you need to watch a video on here. The add plays on top of the story. Serious problems exist. There is no synchronization between the adds and the actual story..Big mess & I cant believe you paid for this thing.

Anytime you click on a news story that has an accompanying video, you are forced to watch and listen to a commercial. You can not pause the ad, nor can you mute it, which is really irritating if the volume is turned up loud. Please make it so the video can be muted at least, if not paused, so I can read the story rather than watch the video.

I only get lightning alerts for Dallas. I dont live in Dallas!

After several updates, looks like all they care about is to put more adds rather Han fix the issues. Disappointing...

Very disappointed to find an what was a trusted news source stooping to tabloid levels. The over sell of 30 second advertisement spots that preceded 15 second news story are just part the issue. Next, the audio is usually out of sync with the video...if it works. Lastly, the app usually crashes...so all of the above are really just moot points. Channel 5....please step up to bat!

For a much as they promote this app on the station you think they would put some more money and time into the Development. Its awful.

I was unhappy initially when the app didnt work as expected. The last update fixed it. Im happy and use this frequently. NBC 5 has the best weather broadcast in my opinion.

Every time this app gives me an update an I slide it to access. The story is never available. Does Newy Scruggs or the news bimbos run this app. I feel bad for the weather department, but rest of nbc5 Dallas is as bad as the app.

Video ads begin to play once you click on a story to read, the ads do not have a pause or skip button. I like to be able to read the news without having to deal with ads going off immediately. Also, I dont like that the news story starts playing right after the ad, if I want to watch the video Id prefer to click it on my own. I dont like to be the obnoxious person on their phone with videos playing.

Just applied the update for the newest version. Worthless as it does nothing thing now! Looking to see if I can go back to the previous version.

I have used this app religiously for years, but the recent update has me thinking about deleting it. It has all kinds of ads and it blares the video on any that have video. You dont have the option anymore of just READING the story! So dont check this app for a quick news meeting anywhere that you dont want audio blaring.

Ads & unwanted video are now inescapable!! Will be deleting this app--majority of users prefer to READ the news QUIETLY!!!

I was pleased with previous versions of this app - quick-loading, easy to use, local news stories were informative. But the latest update auto-plays video commercials with no pause, skip, or disable options available, and video player then stays on-screen leaving less room for story. I want to quietly READ the news, not watch it, and the ads are intrusive and annoying. Plus, sponsored stories are now also mixed in with regular news. Could not find a way to disable auto-play, or report issue from the app, thus this critical review. Now looking for other local news apps.

If I could give zero stars that is what I would give. As long as the videos start automatically, I will not use this app.

Same everyone else mentioned: auto play video is a major distraction.
